New year, new things? How about a Vision Board!

Its that time again, when we have the opportunity to start all over, to make amends, to make new goals, new year resolutions…. it’s like we have a new page to write down the stuff we want to do or change for the next 12 months. It’s another chance at life for some!

For most of us, myself included, we think of this time as another season, another opportunity to either improve on ourselves or start all over, whether it’s a business opportunity, career move, exercise schedule, family plan, whatever it is, a new year feels like another opportunity to do something different, or differently. However, this may not be the case for our children, especially, those whose school year begins in September… no much difference is noted, except that a new year has begun! A good exercise we can do as a family is making a vision board, or planning the year together. This is especially important to the children as it gives them something to dream about and look forward to as the year progresses, and makes a great opportunity at the end of the year, for thanksgiving as they see the fulfilment of the vision or the things they desired to accomplish. It also gives each member of the family accountability and the opportunity to commit to something!

Have you made your vision board before? what difference did you see in the family or in your children?
