Got up on a Tuesday morning to take my 18 month old daughter to an orthopedic appointment. She was born with clubfoot and has to wear special shoes at night and we had to get fitted for a new pair. Her daddy, my husband, was also along for the trip. well on the way home, we stopped at a restaurant to eat. it was still early for lunch so we got breakfast. The waitress was real nice. she even gave my daughter a free yogurt. Now i had food in my daughters bag for her to give her in case we needed it. which got me thinking about why this waitress may have done it. Did she think that i didn't have anything for my daughter? Did she think we couldn't pay for the extra meal? She didn't know that i had fed my daughter just about an hour before at home, as i usually do every morning!

After we left the restaurant I had to stop at the grocery store for a bit to pick up some things. i was driving and my husband was laid back in the seat beside me resting because he had to be at work later that day! we arrived at the grocery store my husband woke up and sat in the car, still laid back playing with my daughter, so they stayed in the car with the air condition running and i went in. I got done in the store and made my way out. there was a woman talking on her phone that stopped me and  proceeded in a not so nice manner told me that i shouldn't leave my child in a running vehicle by herself. I kindly told the lady that my husband was laid back in the seat and taking care of her just fine! the woman rolled her eyes at me and said (still in a not so nice manner "OK"). Got in the car and started home. I was a little rattled by this needless to say and kind of let it out on my personal facebook. HA

"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:" - James 1:19 (KJV Bible)

But i tell this to say everything can easily be resolved simply by THINKING!! If I had not thought about how kind the waitress at the restaurant was, I really could've got myself into a heap of trouble. If the woman had actually looked to see my husband in the car and not have been on her phone the whole time, maybe she wouldnt have made me mad! Do i appreciate her concern for my child? yes absolutely. but she could've have handled it a little better :) If everyone took the time to think before you say or do something, this world would probably be in a lot better shape!

FYI: I do not and will not ever leave my daughter in a car by herself! if i'm not with her an adult family member usually is. and I hope and pray everyone that reads this is the same!!
