2. They disocver new hobbies. Just not appropraite ones. When Bobby realised what putting things in the bin involves, he wanted to be very helpful by putting everything in the bin that he possibly could. Tissues (used and those fresh out of the box), toys, bras.
4. Poo is exciting. When potty training is looming on the horizon, poo becaomes a very exciting subject for parent and toddler. Last week Bobby announced, "Poo!" I asked him if he was going to have a poo and he looked very proud and smug as he and replied, "Yeah!" Five minutes later he had done said poo and he told us so. We were all very excited and started talking about buying a potty. This is why people who don't have children think you are mad.
5. Small things create such joy. It is perfectly normal to laugh hysterically with a toddler about something completely nonsensical. It is times like this when we can see the world through our toddlers eyes - an exciting place where a lot of joy and fun can be found. Things like this happen every day, but I saw a lovely example of it the other week when Bobby's Auntie Dani bought me a pom pom bauble as a present. Bobby loves the pom pom and sits laughing as he tickles his own face with it. Having a toddler can change your outlook on life.
