Sorry, got caught up in my own situation.... that pretty much stinks about what happened to your daughter. I work at the junior high (8th & 9th grade). I know they can be mean. I can't believe a teacher would even think to treat a child like that. I know that there are some students they don't "mesh" with well - but that is no excuse. I hope she is able to over come that. I don't care if you are a size 2 and drop dead gorgeous... if people are being negative toward your self image - it's hard to deal with! Especially for girls at that age. I have some problems with my youngest daughter. Had her in counseling for a while. She is in my older daughters shadow and feels like she can't compete!! Life is hard enough without having to worry about how you look.

Yes, no matter what we have to defend our kids. I am afraid that he will lose his scholarship from the college. He earned it by winning a college competition in diesel tech. It is good one year after graduation from high school. We are really thinking of maybe getting his GED and going to college - but I have to make sure the scholarship is still good. We are so confused! There is a private school real close - but I am not sure we can afford it nor if they will take him since he is being expelled from our high school. I don't know how far to send him, but he HAS to finish school so that he can go on. I think they are so bent on making an example out of him - they really don't care what the outcome will be for him. They can't punish the kid who cut the trees- he has already graduated............

I did talk to the superintendent and he is postponing the meeting until Aug. 14. But, after talking to him, it didn't sound good. They know my son did not cut down any trees nor was he on school property. But they are going to use him as an example. We are probably going to have to find another school (if that is possible) for Kyle to attend. I'm not sure how this will work. But, please keep us in your prayers. Oh - and I am basically computer challenged - I know enough to be dangerous.... so I don't know how to AIM! my girls are still in bed - I know one of them could show me how if they were up! :) Thanks again!

Well I don't think I'm related to anyone, although I doubt they would admit it anyway.

You cracked me up!

Thanks for the heads up on the sippy cup!! I laughed my butt off!! Any other tidbits to help me get ahead of my game would be much appreciated! I fear I'm drowning here.
