I have traveled quite extensively and every time I visit a new country I always look to find local, natural medicines and remedies that I might need to use while abroad or can bring home to my family. In Nepal, for instance, I had all manner of incense available to buy and bring home. In India, I visited Ayurvedic stores in New Delhi looking for anything to…
Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
I'm a wife and stay-at-home mom of a little boy. I enjoy reading and writing (I used to write a lot of poetry, although I haven't been dedicating time to that lately... maybe that's a future blog). :) I enjoy studying the Holy Bible and am trying each day to live for God. Not always easy or painless, but I tell ya, the rewards are great. I have gained a lot more patience through prayer in dealing with my son, and I feel like a better mommy because of it.
What is your blogging philosophy?
Our family blog is mostly just to keep family members who live far away updated on our life (well, mostly about our son), but I also enjoy swapping recipes with and getting advice from other parents.
My other blog (It's Couch Time) is a book/movie club that anyone who wants to can join in and participate. So far it's just been between me, my dad and my sister, but we welcome other members who want to give reviews on books they've read and/or movies they've seen!
I have been blogging since...

Hi there from The Girlz Korner in upstate New York where you'll find light, witty and rather entertaining articles on every topic imaginable from The Little Black Dress to Making Whoopie. So if you get a chance to kick back and exhale, if only for a brief moment ... come on over and see me some time.
Thanks for voting for me! I really appreciate it! I am not technically savvy with html. I have a lot to learn and most of what I have learned is through trial and error. If you can send me a message with the instructions, that'd be great! I'll give it a try! So far, I am way behind in votes so I don't think I'm gonna win the makeover. I'll let you know what happens! Have a great weekend!
Hi Erin! I was in a car accident about 6 years ago, and that caused my lower back to be painful & was in physio for that. There was no actual diagnosis. I then had My daughter in 2006, which made my lower back flare up here and there. Exactly a year later I was having migranes and went to the hospital, the doctors did a sprinal to check for menengitous (spelling?!). The doctor tried 4 time to put the needle in and coudln't get to my spine, then another doctor tried and got in. After that the pain was HORRIBLE. A year after that I was pregnant and lost the baby, had to have a D&C, 2 months after that, and until now I have had horrible pain, and when I wake up I can barrely get out of bed, I feel like I'm 100 years old. I'm going to see my doctor, because I actually think there is something wrong. I love pilates, walking & running. I've been told to excersise and it will get better, and I do, but it hasn't. Well, that's my belly aching story.
