Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
I'm a Stepmom to a 9 year old,and a Mom to 2 year old Liam.

We experienced two losses in the span of 6 months and I am now an advocate for raising awareness about baby loss, miscarriage, grief and healing.

I have been blogging for years and that unexpectedly turned into a career as a freelance writer a year ago.
What are three things moms should know about your blog?
I am not shy to share personal details about loss. Yes, some people may find it uncomfortable, but we need to let others know it is okay to talk about it.
I also share the joys in life that keep me going- yes, grief changes a person, but we still need to smile.
You'll see a range of topics on my blog, from cooking, brand promotion, arts & crafts... the sky is the limit!
What is your blogging philosophy?
My blogging philosophy is to simply be passionate. I began blogging as a hobby, and my focus was not on earning an income. It changed in recent years into something more, but it all still comes down to loving what you do.

I have met incredible people through this experience and I hope that continues.
I have been blogging since...

Remain Young At Heart, Always

Posted on March 19, 2019 at 12:32pm 0 Comments

My two year old has talked about growing up and becoming many things.

First, he was going to be Elmo when he was older.

After that, he said he would be a mailman, a firefighter, a construction worker, and a chef.

Now, he goes between that, a snow plow driver, a garbage collector and Blippi.

Next month it will probably be a different profession.

As parents, we often wonder what our children will grow up to be. Yes, I would be scared every single day of my…

To My Son, On the Day I Should Have Met You

Posted on March 19, 2019 at 12:27pm 0 Comments

DEAREST RAINBOW PEANUT,

I have been wanting to write this to you for months, and I couldn’t find the proper words.  I wanted to dedicate the time to express myself properly, but the words kept getting stuck in my heart, and then in my throat as I attempted to say my thoughts aloud.  I don’t think I’ll have the strength to write all of my thoughts on your actual due date, so I apologize for being early.  There is simply no way to truly prepare for the day  I should have been holding…

You'll Always Be Our Rainbow

Posted on March 19, 2019 at 12:25pm 0 Comments

The following post deals with pregnancy loss and may contain sensitive topics.

Today, at 8:20 AM, we were supposed to be at our second trimester ultrasound for our baby.  Instead, I am writing.  A week ago from today, at 2:23 AM, I gave birth to our beautiful little boy at 18 weeks of gestation.

A “Rainbow Baby” is a baby born shortly after the loss of a previous baby. The term is given to these babies because a rainbow typically follows a storm, giving us hope of…

I Am Not Leaving You Behind, Little One

Posted on March 19, 2019 at 12:00pm 0 Comments

The following post may be a bit graphic, but is being done solely for the purpose of helping those going through the same thing.  It is not for pity, and it is not to start a debate of how old a fetus needs to be in order to be a living being.  If you know of someone going through a miscarriage, simply offer support- not a discussion on whether or not they should be upset.  It is a unique experience for each person.  Let them grieve how they want to, no matter how or when it…
